New ‘Vibes’ To Feature In-App Events That Will Last 48 Hours

Dating app media giant Tinder has announced a new feature that’s set to measure your compatibility with other members. Vibes will showcase time-sensitive events where you can ask each other questions and see how closely matches you are. It combines functions from Swipe Night and Swipe Surge, but you’ll have 48 hours to complete the questionnaire.

Once completed, your responses will display on your profile for everyone to see. You’ll also see the answers in chat windows, showing you whether they’re compatible or not. You can also catch them in a lie if they state they like the same things as you, where the survey clearly shows they don’t.

One of the main reasons behind this new Vibes feature is to help members engage more. You can start a conversation with more than just ‘hey’ or “how are you doing?” When they see a topic they are both interested in, it can spark a chat that could last into the late hours of the morning. Of course, it’s also a great way to disrupt sleep patterns.

Who needs sleep when looking for love, right? You’ll receive a notification for when you can participate, or you’ll see a message when you log into your account. If you’ve already completed a survey, you might also receive an invitation to take part in Tinder video chats with someone that’s compatible.
