Mobile dating app Tinder is introducing verified accounts for celebrities, as apparently users assume that celebrity photos on the app are fake, making hard for people like Lindsay Lohan and Ashton Kutcher to find dating matches.

Speaking to ‘The Hollywood reporter’, Tinder CEO Sean Rad explained that so many celebrities are now using the app that it’s necessary to allow them a different way to log in. Currently Tinder uses Facebook accounts, but as many celebrities either don’t use Facebook or use it with a pseudonym for privacy reasons, they would benefit from a new way to log in. Rad says the upcoming Verified Accounts will allow for this.

Tinder is a dating app where you browse photos, picking any you like. If that person also likes you, the app will put you both in touch to chat. It currently requires a Facebook account to log in, as it takes photos, interests and (perhaps worryingly) friends from your account data.

Download Tinder for iOS or Android.
